The Price family photoshoot was in Richland, WA, during fire season, so it was slightly smoky. Surprisingly, the haze gave us a cozy, overcast ambiance that added that fall feel to their photos. This session was significant because the Price family wanted to capture the essence of love and togetherness as their eldest child was about to leave for college in just a few weeks. The desire to freeze these precious moments of unity made their session sweet.

Jenni is a photographer herself, so I was excited as she took on the role in front of the camera. The entire family was an absolute joy to work with, and their love for one another was notable. It’s fun to photograph families who emit comfort in each other’s presence, embracing snuggles, laughter, goofiness, and everything in between. Capturing those special moments and ones of just mom and dad together is always special.

Despite a reschedule due to rain and the unexpected smoke on the new date, they decided to forge ahead, and it couldn’t have turned out more perfectly. Their choice of outfits meshed beautifully with the changing colors of the leaves around them, and it worked out well.
