Jordan and Jacob had their beautiful barn wedding at Stone Ridge Estates in Pasco, Washington, and let me say they scored on this perfect fall day. You never know what kind of weather mother nature could give you for an October wedding, but they managed to pick the best day. Follow along to hear more on the sweetest backstory of these two and find some inspiration for your barn wedding!
WHO THEY WERE BEFORE
Jordan and Jacob met in middle school when Jacob moved from Texas to Puyallup, Washington. Jordan always knew him as “Texas” since that’s what all his friends called him. Jacob still claims that Jordan was the first girl he remembered when he moved to town because of her red hair and quirky last name. They’ve known each other since they were 12 and started dating when they were 18. It’s so special to have a story that goes so far back and makes a great one to tell for years ahead.
THE VARGO’S BEAUTIFUL BARN WEDDING DAY
The day before the wedding it was pouring down rain. I went and bought some umbrellas, fully anticipating getting rained on. The morning of the wedding, it seemed like the bad weather would continue, but much to our surprise, it didn’t! It was a beautiful late October wedding, and you would have never known we were all stressing about the rain the day before.
Jordan wore a classic wedding dress with lace and tulle detail. She was most excited to see the look on Jacob’s face as she finally walked down the aisle. We started the day with a first look outside, and it looked exactly like what you’d picture when thinking of an estate wedding. We took family portraits and fun bridal party photos and made our way to the ceremony. After the two said their I do’s, we snapped some gorgeous golden hour photos and met the rest of the party at the reception. They had timeless greenery and white decor that complimented the barn just right. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful barn wedding to shoot at, and I’m honored that I was able to be a part of it.
LOVE NOTES FROM JORDAN & JACOB
“I can’t say enough good things about Josie! Right from the start, Josie was nothing but kind and helpful to my fiancé and I. She was responsive, intentional, and checked in with us when we needed it the most leading up to our wedding day. Josie captured the most beautiful and special moments from our wedding, and we can’t put into words how grateful we are for her talent and leadership. She flawlessly managed our time before the ceremony, all while making us feel so special and present in the moment. Choosing Josie as our wedding photographer was the best decision we made during our planning. Any couple or family that works with her is sure to have fun, feel comfortable, and be absolutely blown away when they see their completed photos! HUGE thanks for her and her team”
